Silicon Valley was never as great as it could have been - thanks to assholes like Thiel, Paul Graham, etc. What we’ve achieved is a local maximum. Think bigger. What can we do with full participation from white women, people of color, and other historically marginalized groups?

Mindsets like @sarahmei’s are the antithesis of what made Silicon Valley great. Silicon Valley must not continue to embrace this close-minded ideology.

Curious: Would you consider Graham and Thiel equally bad? IMO Graham is a typical misguided, often ignorant old white male type, while Thiel is clearly evil

I don’t speak for Sarah of course. If I were the recording angel I’d probably weigh them differently. But for discussion purposes about “people who haven’t helped SV” they’re in the same group.
