The backend might be; the front end is clearly run by the airline. I don’t think Amadeus can tell whether I pasted the booking reference into the form or whether the airline included it

But yes. This is my weekly pain too! I’m actually frequently in contact with one of the original engineers who built the Amadeus online checkin. I’ll ask him what’s up when he gets back from hols. Meanwhile, I bet regex can solve this 🙃
