There’s an anti-GDPR article circulated in my timeline. I won’t link to it, instead I’ll just state that it’s 95% bullshit

The legislation has been quite profitable for your firm?

No, it has cost us a bit, which is perfectly fine

We had to invest a bit into documentation, change a few processes. Other than that, it has simply increased awareness about privacy, for both ourselves and our clients.

I find I don’t care much for business models that are hurt by these regulations.
Would have been great if regulators had applied the stated proportionality intention to the GDPR and just put in the blanket exception "anyone processing non-sensitive data for less than 10k people can ignore this vague jumble of rules with 28 different national interpretations"
I am not in the mood for a debate about this. I’ll just state from personal experience that it has had only positive effects on ourselves and our clients, FWIW
