Because maybe the article isn’t that great, brings no new information, doesn’t change the fact that blockchains still the only working, decentralized, secure store of immutable data, and “breaches” only occur at the boundaries or within the accepted threat model?

If blockchain evangelists were only promoting, "a decentralized, secure store of immutable data", there wouldn't be a problem. The problem is that way too many of them are making outlandish claims that a new distributed storage technology will revolutionize everything it touches.

I was answering my own question, Why would anyone trust blockchain...? Because blockchain evangelists are overselling it. That's how it's relevant.
