Some colleagues of @fme_group tell me that the customer defines the quality we have to deliver in IT-projects. Thoughts on this? Why right or why wrong? @stilkov @ufried @lukaseder

Right within professional boundaries. Some things are non-negotiable, for legal reasons, in life-critical systems, etc. In other scenarios, the client may e.g. value short time to market higher than other quality attributes

+1 to stefan's reply. maybe an augmenting general observation to ponder: in the end, quality is in the eye of the beholder (is stability more important than flexibility? is security more important than convenience? etc.) ... 1/2
