Bought the book Release It! I’m curious what I can learn from others.

Got any other suggestions?

Depends on what you’re looking for. Some of the newer DDD books, e.g. by Vaugn Vernon, are quite good. Otherwise, most of the pattern stuff is a little old (e.g. PoEAA, the five POSA books)

Old meaning proven? :-)

You can’t draw that conclusion. We don’t pulp old books when they’re wrong!

I’m not equating old with bad at all. Some books, e.g. @ghohpe’s own EAI patterns, age pretty well, some don’t.

It ages really well but it also has a lot of foundations around how networks like UDP and TCP work and those have never changed and we haven’t replaced them.
I love that book so much.
