Still looking for a single valid use case for blockchain. Extra credit if you can’t do it using signed git commits. For me blockchain is the epitome of what @JerryWeinberg calls “solutioneerihg”.

By their official ID? At least in Germany, every piece of land is registered in its community’s registry with a unique number. It’s a horrible, manual, decentralized system that would benefit extremely from being done digitally

I do agree that a digital solution would be great. The official ID could be part of the solution. But where is the mapping between ID and piece of land stored? Can this be done decetralized? I am not saying it can't...

hm. now that I think about it, I guess you are right: If we only store the transactions with the ID in a blockchain, we could at least buy and sell the already registered land anonymously and without much effort through a blockchain...
