Yes because today we have REST and it’s always simple. *eyeroll* The problems haven’t changed. They’ve just turned into JSON over HTTP instead of IIOP over TCP/IP.

It’s fascinating to look at a 90s CORBA whitepaper, describing an incredibly complex tech stack, embedded in web technology. It seemed completely reasonable back then, and also turned out to be totally unnecessary edn.embarcadero.com/article/…

I disagree. If you look at that paper, it suggests a stack with all of today’s complexity *plus* CORBA
