Stupidly, I gave in to using #WhatsApp a while ago. Luckily, I’m not dependent on it. I’ll switch to @signalapp, which is quite awesome both technically as well as from the business model perspective, and try to convince as many people as possible to do so, too

I’ve only played with it for a few minutes, and skimming a few articles can hardly be called research, but it seems to me #Telegram has practically been engineered to not only provide secure messaging, but also be a perfect platform for extremists. Am I wrong?

Open Source hätte ich sowieso als gesetzt gesehen und habe deswegen vermutlich vergessen, es überhaupt zu erwähnen :)
Ich vermute, die Software ist so gebaut, dass sie für eine einzelne Schule funktioniert und man versucht gerade, sie mandantenfähig für mehrere einzusetzen. Könnte man dann ja auch anders lösen. Aber das ist reine Spekulation meinerseits. Und ja, macht man heute anders.

Ich möchte keineswegs die Lehrer*innen abschaffen (meine Frau ist selbst eine). Im ersten Schritt würde ich so etwas als Ergänzung bzw. Ersatz in Notsituationen wie der aktuellen sehen. Im zweiten könnte ich mir sehr gut ein hybrides Modell vorstellen.

(Das System selbst kenne ich nicht, keine Ahnung, ob es zu retten gewesen wäre. Auf jeden Fall hätte man das vorher merken und entsprechend entscheiden können.)
