Watching “The Crown”, I wonder how one would justify an assassination (in this case of Mountbatten) that kills a few family members as collateral damage. How can this ever be anything but wrong? Even if the Brits were the bad guys overall in this conflict, I still don’t get it

I’ve been convinced for a while now one of the best investments of tax payer money in Germany would be to hire really great permanent IT staff for the public sector. Never going to happen as that would mean they’d have to be paid competitive salaries, of course.
