We’ve discussed this before, and I’m not sure you’re right. Whether or not it’s worth investing the energy depends on whether or not it replaces something else that’s worse or not. I’m not sure that it does, nor sure that it doesn’t.

I don’t agree. But even if it were true, if would only apply to users with a modern, fast device, connected via a high bandwidth connection, and few accessibility needs. Whether or not those restrictions would be worth the money saved vs revenue lost is a choice to make
