One of the best things IMO: This all “just happened”. One team came up with it, evangelized it, and then the others just adopted it because they liked it
At @INNOQ, some teams successfully use #RemoteMobProgramming in customer projects, some of them even for more than two years. Here are the experiences of four such teams. Happy reading! innoq.com/en/articles/2021/0…

True. I both think HTML is not a programming language and consider a lot of people who insist this is true to be highly annoying.
I’m quite sure it will actually age perfectly. Let’s talk again a year from now.
(Actually, someone I care for very much asked me why I didn’t do it before, and I couldn’t come up with a reason)

I’ve heard putting your pronouns into your bio makes some people very mad, so naturally, I’ve added them to mine

Yes: Lotus Notes/Domino database development and SOAP/WSDL/WS-* web services come to mind immediately. Most of the others I still consider applicable in certain situations

I sometimes like to imagine some staff member at a random online shop wondering how to pronounce my mother’s maiden name, NPG93WiwBhskxs.GTRDt_Hrm

For the tasks I do, it doesn’t matter all that much, so I can’t really comment. Battery life is excellent, though.
Using the “old” Macbook 13 (as opposed to my shiny new M1 Air) for a bit. It’s amazing how incredibly annoying I find the fan noise, the same noise that didn’t really bother me all that much a week ago

Yes, nor Applets, or Silverlight, and probably a whole lot of SPAs

For weekend listeners – I had tremendous fun with this conversation about software engineering with the very insightful and funny @ChristinGorman: case-podcast.org/37-christin…

Fair enough. OTOH, a 10 year old browser would probably be so ridiculously vulnerable that you could only run on a honey trap machine, anyway :)

On the plus side, you could probably use a modern browser to access a website built in 1995
