I’ll secure the funding for @aphyr to do a Jepsen test of @oracledatabase if you secure Oracle‘s permission that he’s allowed to publish the results, no matter what they show

Mal wieder ein großartiger Artikel meiner Kollegin @HannaPrinz

This post kindly links to a video of one of my later talks on REST, one that I think actually aged quite well: youtube.com/watch?v=pspy1H…
GraphQL vs. REST | Medium b.mamund.com/2StrSxD @FagnerBrack "It makes no sense to compare REST and GraphQL, but for some reason, we do." "It's time to stop."

It’s a ridiculously huge success by any reasonable person‘s standards, and that surely includes everyone at Apple

My co-worker @moonbeamlabs has published our slides from yesterday’s talk about web front end architecture: innoq.com/en/talks/2020/02/m…

Here is a service I would pay 10, 20, maybe 25€ per month for: Give me a Twitter feed exactly identical to mine, just minus all the US politics

IIRC, Germany‘s post-WWII electoral system is strongly influenced by the allied winners, particularly the US. Maybe if would make sense to adapt some of it. Just a thought, for no reason at all.

That’s a cactus. Caucus is the plural of a specific kind of palm tree.
That’s calculus. A caucus is a thick, fleshy plant that grows in many hot, dry parts of the world.

Jede Wette.
Twitter mal wieder so richtig dämlich.

Making my way to @oop_conference – looking forward to meeting the usual suspects. I don’t think I’ve been to any conference more often #OOPmuc

I think there should be something like folklore.org for the Web, and @eevee should be the one to build it
the first goddamn thing i have written in over a year, and also the longest by filesize old css, new css — a heartfelt jaunt through the history of css and website design, at least as i remember it eev.ee/blog/2020/02/01/old-c…

I am extremely sensitive to this and I’ve stopped saying a lot of things I used to say in the past. In this particular case, I’m just wondering whether it’s offensive to a particular group, and I have doubts

Understood. I think I disagree, but I’ll also think about it for a bit

The way I use it is to describe exactly those irrational aspects. I would never use a comparison to female sex attributes, but surely being able to relate or understand the metaphor of some tech being “sexy” is not gender or sex related?
