I read it and smiled because I’m 100% sure it’s intended to be ironic. But I also wondered about the ableist aspect, and thought that “psychopath” is less problematic than, say, “psycho”. Is it not?

It’s much easier to get buy-in from the team (which I agree is critically important) if you keep to the minimum amount of rules needed.

I still don’t see the disagreement. I think there are very explicit rules needed that need to be enforced strictly. They should focus on the boundaries and connections, and be independent of internals. I believe there aren’t many needed, but that doesn’t make them less important.

(For some reason, SpeakerDeck refused to process the slide deck.)
We do not actually disagree.

Maybe you and @INNOQ might be a good match? My DMs are open, my email is stefan.tilkov@innoq.com

That definitely is a downside, agreed. Not sure Slack has any advantages over a company-internal mail server though

Agreed. After a few years of using it, I find the idea that Slack et al would reduce communication overload completely ridiculous.
I really don’t understand why people hate on email so much... I feel like it is nearly perfect communication medium for actually getting things done. Asynch, triage-able, seach, forces process discipline, open platform, etc
