I can only comment from a German, non-disabled person’s perspective, which is probably unhelpful. But “behindert” is sadly most commonly thought of as referring to the person, not the environment

Hm. Reading through the blog post, it seems like a whole lot of awesome engineering went into it, but I’m not sure there are that many cases where the resulting complexity is justified. But it seems to work progressively, which is of course great.
