I know many people I respect hate blockchain tech with passion (and my continued mild enthusiasm for it flips the bozo bit on me for them). But I find it interesting to see how many of them embrace even unjustified criticism. Just human, I guess.

Not sure how blockchain tech could make something it’s not applied to safer.

I’m not sure how lots of people overselling it invalidates a technology. Also, how is this relevant to your initial question?

Because maybe the article isn’t that great, brings no new information, doesn’t change the fact that blockchains still the only working, decentralized, secure store of immutable data, and “breaches” only occur at the boundaries or within the accepted threat model?

No, but it sounds like my kind of movie. Will check it out.

Unsure, but I’m sure my buddies Christopher Walken, Al Gore, and Angus Young would make an interesting combination.
Okay SO. You're in a horror movie and your partner-in-fear is the most famous person with whom you share a birthday. Who is it, and are y'all going to survive?

Thanks for the feedback. I have high hopes for web components with their implementation built with whatever makes sense, too

Just like Berlin and Munich are all Germany, I guess
While I know who Attlee was, I fail to get this. Elaborate please?
Those last few minutes of @LastWeekTonight’s recent #Brexit episode are really all that needs be said about the current sad state of Brexit, and the stupidity of referendums in general youtube.com/HaBQfSAVt0s?t=1011

This is about this particular statement, not Bitcoin energy consumption in general. My guesstimate is that global solar power production is at least one, probably more two orders of magnitude higher than even a worst case estimate for Bitcoin.
1
Yes, that would be my question, too
I certainly don’t think Bitcoin energy consumption is not a problem. Doesn’t make this statement any more true.
2
This is a powerful statement. It puzzles me that many people don’t seem to care whether it’s true or not. (Spoiler: It’s not.)
