Collected investments typically imply a valuation, don’t they? But I agree, it’s sad Europe is apparently copying the US’s messed-up way to measure success

True. Given the potential size of the fine, it would at least hurt quite a bit

Did they do this to EU users, too? After May 25? Part of me hopes they did. Also, #DeleteFacebook

Only very indirectly. But clients typically understand that a lot of what attracted them to us in the first place is related to efforts like this.

I suspect someone will propose that as an option on Friday
Excellent question. Our clients know this, and we make sure they do so well in advance. As it’s part of what allows us to do what we do, they’re typically fine with it.

We do have many parents of small kids at the company. Most of them can handle it because the dates are known a year in advance. And of course it’s no big deal to miss one once in a while. But we try to be very clear about this upfront so folks can decide whether it can work.

We’ve had lots of discussions about the environmental footprint of the whole thing (and we’re about to have another one tomorrow). At least until now, we’ve considered it worth the effort as it enables us to work remotely for most of the rest of the year much more easily.

It’s also pretty challenging to find a hotel that’s able to handle our demands in terms of rooms & connectivity. The logistics are handled beautifully by our back office staff, acting as company-internal travel agents.

One of the major challenges is getting ~125 people from locations all over Germany and Switzerland to the same place at roughly the same time. Today, we have flights from DUS, CGN, MUC, TXL, NUE, HAM, plus various train and car rides

Best statement on the ridiculous #brexit mess I’ve heard so far
The fabulous Mhairi Black describes the absurdity that is the Westminster parliament. "it ended with a woman wi a sword chasing a man wi a stick" Class #indyref2 #brexit #DissolveTheUnion

(And I just noticed I casually used “innoQ guy” as a generic term to refer to someone working at the company back then, something I’d hit myself for today)
