I’ve written a blog post about this a few years ago: innoq.com/blog/st/2012/09/in… … but apart from the fact that my neglected blog needs some fixes and a design update, some things have changed and I’ll use this thread to post a few updates & answer questions over the next few days

Six times per year, all of @INNOQ gathers somewhere for two to three days to talk about technology, projects, and other topics. Looking forward to this year’s final event in Davos, Switzerland – three days of all-hands discussions about company strategy #innoqevent

Dieses #applepay funktioniert gar nicht mal soooo schlecht. Könnte eventuell eine Zukunft haben.

I’m sure it’s all due to its superior quality and has got nothing to do with the fact that it’s bundled with Office 365 :)

Gerade Andreas Eschbachs „nsa“ zu Ende gelesen. Gruselig gut – 4 von 5 Sternen

The more complex the fragment that’s included and the more expectations it has regarding the environment it’s transcluded into, the higher the coupling.

Links are one way of front-end integration. Often, they can be progressively enhanced to transclude a simple fragment view of what it is they’re linking to. Coupling increases, but is still drastically less complex than setting up a backend replication & synchronization approach.

I’m in love with this post
Finally published an epic blog post version of my @Lambda_World talk "The Complexity Trap: Think Before You Leap": danielwestheide.com/blog/201…

An HTML link to another system introduces almost no coupling at all.

I don’t find them cumbersome at all in many situations. IMO they’re often the cleaner and simpler option, and often reduce coupling. Sometimes they’re not, no tool works for everything.

Sometimes innovation is a little boring. And that’s perfectly fine. Great post by my @INNOQ co-worker @alpengeist_de: innoq.com/en/blog/boring-inn…

IBM just sold Notes & Domino to HCL, now they can finally die a peaceful death. I’m old enough to actually remember a time when those were pretty good products. (But never for email.) newsroom.ibm.com/2018-12-06-…

Yes, that’s a good option, too, if you make sure you know where data is mastered, and we use it often. The downside is that you have to take care of synchronization, something you don’t have to do if you do FE integration. Still, both have their place.
