I don’t know :)

I’ve started to make a conscious effort to stop trying to read my complete Twitter timeline. My apologies if I haven’t retweeted something great you wrote, but my improved sanity has been worth it

True, that’s one of the potentially really bad outcomes of this particular business model. The others can lead to similarly bad things, too, IMO

I don't have an issue with the concept of certification per se. Some certification is literally life-saving. I do take issue with the idea you can become "certified" in anything as complex as modern software delivery after spending two days in a classroom.

Every criticism of the concept of “certification” can be applied to “training” and “consulting”, too. Its value ranges from great to non-existent or even negative

Alice Weidel is no longer on the speakers page. I’d love to know more about the reasons. Considering at least one of the organizers seems to be very friendly with AfD people, I’m still suspicious
I briefly considered attending the UNCHAIN Bitcoin and Blockchain convention in Hamburg, but they have one of the far-right AfD’s leading members as a speaker. Embarrassing. #fckafd unchain.hamburg/#speakers

No.
Can we agree that, in 2018, human-readable "View Source" is a constraint the web can discard? I benefitted from "View Source" too, but today we have an embarrassment of resources and open source examples I would have killed for as a kid.

Judging from past years’ experience, you might want to be quick if you plan to attend
Tickets for microXchg 2018 are up for sale on microxchg.io! This year’s edition features even more talks and speakers!

I concede it may have prompted Netflix to create advanced, unique IT capabilities purely based on the planet‘s best IT commodity platform

All of that makes perfect sense, and I see the same pattern with e.g. serverless or other PaaS platforms. I fail to read the article that way, though

I’m not sure I agree that’s what it was about. He specifically talks about applications and advocates following instead of leading, reducing investments, etc.

I would have argued that that was actually the opposite move, and he decided *only* IT matters
