It’s fine, don’t worry :) Thanks for mentioning @scsarchitecture
What’s your take on using a VPN once you connect to a WiFi (private or remote), especially given the recent KRACK WPA2 attack?

Agreed: Privacy concerns might be a good reason to use a VPN.
Yes; so someone spoofs my mail server’s or banks DNS entry, and my mail client and browser catch it due to the TLS cerfificate chain.

That’s mostly privacy-related; I don’t have much an issue with someone collecting metadata about me while I’m on their public WiFi. YMMV.

An app that doesn’t complain about invalid certificates has no business running on my machine

What are examples of those apps?

That’s my point: I never assume I’m in a safe network, not even when I use a cable connection in my office

Question is: should you use VPN on *private* WiFi? ➡️ alexhudson.com/2017/10/15/wp…

I don’t use a VPN, even on public WiFi, because I don’t use any unsecured protocols (except for occasional public HTTP). Am I being naïve?

As a grown up who knows them, my reaction to “Killing in the Name of” while driving is exactly the same, even at the 1000th listen :)

It’s also the means by which all relevant public chains do it. Not sure comparing a private one is fair.

I wasn’t aware there’s a public Fabric blockchain?

Bald brauchen wir auch einen Aaron Sorkin, der tolle Dialoge für eine Serie über ein fiktives Deutschland schreibt, das Nazis verachtet
