@simonbrown I think every hexagonal architecture can be drawn as a layered one, but not vice versa. But then I never really liked the term.
@simonbrown If your point is a good layered architecture and a hexagonal one are the exact same thing, I emphatically agree

@pcalcado If anything, AWS Lambda would be “EAI platform meets JavaScript”. GAE seems more comparable to app servers. @samnewman
