@telent_net @stuartsierra @jorgeo You undoubtedly do have a point.
Replying to @vdandre
@vdandre We were thinking of giving it a try. For a topic you’re interested in, actually :-)

Any sufficiently RESTful JSON API contains an ad-hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden implementation of half of HTML /cc @JorgeO

@JorgeO @steveloughran Sounds scary! And would be even scarier if it were true.
I completely agree with @timbray and @gruber: ”Twitter seems run by people who just don’t get Twitter” tbray.org/ongoing/When/201x/…

@mwessendorf I can imagine you heard me groan in pain
@bsletten You misunderstand. All this complexity would be avoidable if HTML were just rendered on the server side in the first place
IMO part of the problem with some MVC JS frameworks is that their authors are so smart they can make things work that shouldn’t be possible

@janl @nslater Fair enough, let’s leave it at that. This clearly isn’t going anywhere. Please let me know if you address this somewhere else
Replying to @janl
@janl @nslater I’m well aware of the risks of tone policing, but that chart isn’t helping anyone either. On the contrary.

@janl @nslater You don’t seriously mean to suggest a disagreement over Twitter is unproductive, do you? :-)

@nslater @janl I object to distorting facts, even in support of a good cause. *Especially* in support of a good cause.
@nslater @janl And it ruins an otherwise great presentation for me because of its intellectual dishonesty.
2
@nslater @janl I don’t know a better source, so it’s OK to use it? It doesn’t stand up to a minute of scrutiny as a basis of that bar chart
@nslater @janl I accept the list as quite different things that were talked about. I don’t see it as a sound basis for statistics.
