@mrreynolds You are *so* predictable.
@nslater Your email is …? (Or let me know at stefan.tilkov@innoq.com)
@nslater I think there’s an interesting discussion possible, as we don’t disagree on fundamentals. Probably tough via Twitter, though.
@nslater I think thinking it’s the most important job is fine. For every job. Maybe even necessary.
@nslater I think it's perfectly OK to consider programming to be the best job in the world. That's why it should be open to everyone.
@clemensv Have you seen John Oliver on FIFA? So great :-) youtube.com/watch?v=DlJEt2…

@nslater They're not equal because they're very different :-) I'm not saying one is worth more than the other.
@nslater And then we try to make them equal by claiming the soft part is equal to the hard one, mixing things in a way I don’t agree with.
@nslater We agree to a large degree. The difference is that I see a risk that women become the default choice for the “soft” part.
@nslater So IMO we should not change the message about what’s needed, but who’s capable of it (which isn’t everyone)
@nslater Seems like mixing up cause and effect. We keep telling women they’re not good at it – that’s what’s keeping them out.
@nslater Your article might be read as suggesting the focus on “hard”, technical skills is keeping out women (which I disagree with)

Replying to @silverSpoon
@silverspoon I agree, and I don’t think it’s appropriate in a professional context.

@antirez I just buy US stocks via my German online broker, can't imagine why you shouldn't be able to do the same in Italy

@SaraJChipps In the US, yes. Not true for many (most?) other countries, e.g. Germany (where I live)
Watching some more John Oliver shows, just discovered this hilarious interview with Stephen Hawking: youtube.com/watch?v=T8y5EXFM…
