Replying to @alblue
@alblue I know, which is why it would be great if Rails drove one standard format
Replying to @wolfgangfrank
@wolfgangfrank I know, sadly found out only after episode 3 or 4

@mrreynolds first 6 episodes were pretty much OK. Unsatisfactory Lost-style ending guaranteed, though, as it's been cancelled.
OK, here's something to complain about (possibly): Ideally, the patch format should not be Rails-specific ... haven't checked that yet.

And in the interest of balance ... :-) RT @ryah: "Rails to use PATCH instead of PUT" Http nerds annoy me

@wfaler Things with URIs are what make up the Web. The separation of an information space into resources should be independent of formats.
Replying to @wfaler
@wfaler Because the Web's original innovation is to treat content and transactions as the same thing from a client perspective.

@wfaler It's exactly making that distinction that I believe is the wrong approach … /cc @myfear @engelschall

@wfaler E.g. accessibility, bookmarks, working back and refresh buttons, … /cc @engelschall @myfear
Replying to @wfaler
@wfaler No, there are many more reasons a Web app should follow the Web model @engelschall @myfear
Replying to @engelschall
@engelschall Couldn't disagree more :-) Single-page on the client is just as bad as a stateful server app was back then

Worst thing about presenting in “Webinars”: Zero direct visual feedback.
