@ewolff well, about everything else - the code generator is just a tiny piece that is used very little. Scaffolding is almost never used.

@headius Fair enough, although this would rather be about showing the JVM actually can and should be used for efficient code
@smeyen the discussion should be "open" vs. "closed" - they're independent from standards
@smeyen I'm not saying it has, not at all - merely that "proprietary" or "non-standard" doesn't really mean anything in the Java space
