Replying to @nmcl
At least @nmcl checks his mentions :-) meet at 3 near reception?
Replying to @roidrage
@roidrage Ah, I see, just the usual discussion about prostitution in our industry :-) thanks.
Would like to shake hands with @nmcl, but can't DM since he doesn't follow me. Oh the disappointment
Finished REST talk, had interesting follow-up questions, a nice discussion with @algermissen, now sitting in @pautasso's session #soacloud
Replying to @rossmason
@rossmason let me present them first :-) not that much new stuff, to be fair.
Slides for my "RESTful HTTP for SOA" talk at #SOACloud done. With 30 minutes to spare! Now listening to @atmanes' Q&A

. @samruby So is this a done deal, and if not, how would one go about re-opening it?
Replying to @samruby
. @samruby At least the whole REST community (excluding you?) seems to be strongly in favor of including it
Replying to @samruby
. @samruby I can't help feeling that even if the decision to drop PUT and DELETE turns out to be right, it's not been properly discussed

On my way to Berlin for #soacloud symposium. Still hate red-eye flights.

@samruby I'm not up to a spec interpretation battle with you. Maybe tell me why POST/PUT hacks (as in RoR) are a good thing instead?
Replying to @samruby
@samruby Which is to say: If I make my resource a possible target for PUT, it better be able to process whatever content type HTML defined
Replying to @samruby
@samruby What does "POST" mean? Is every resource able to process an application/x-www-form-urlencoded representation?

@roidrage Just remember I recommended you, and don't embarrass me. Nothing like a little extra pressure for motivation, right? :-)

I wonder what @samruby's take on this whole HTML5 PUT/DELETE has been?
The whole idea of enumerating HTTP methods allowed in forms in the *HTML* spec is a sign of the madness that's taken hold of HTML5
