@nzkoz And in reality, the show case for 2PC transactions is always done in batch processes running at night :-)
RT @obie: Just published an epic blog post on 10 Reasons Pair Programming Is Not For the Masses http://bit.ly/oFOPS

Very sad I can't make it to @neal4d's talk at #rheinjug about emergent design tonight
Finding out that for an ex-Emacs addict and long-time OS X user like me, Aquamacs' keybindings work perfectly
RT @AdamBien: A tribute to #sun microsystems: http://bit.ly/tfJTE – Makes me kind of sad. Sun used to be cool; can't say this for Oracle …

"I have yet to see any problem, however complicated, which, when you looked at it in the right way, did not become still more complicated."

@dnene My guess is Python/Django and Ruby/Rails are roughly equivalent in terms of productivity, as is probably true for Groovy/Grails, too.
Amazed that WS-Enumeration is still alive (see http://www.w3.org/TR/ws-enumeration/ (WD dated 06/2009); now wondering about implementations
@uncommented, "sadly not all projects are web projects...": True, even though there are fewer and fewer good reasons for that fact
Given free choice, I would start most projects in Ruby, possibly JRuby; still convinced nothing beats Ruby & Rails productivity for Web apps

@codemonkeyism: "Would I start a project in Java? I would have in 2008. Would I in 2009? Probably not, I’d use Scala." http://bit.ly/17pLgN
RT @olabini:Olas law #24: The complexity of a typical Java project is generally only overshadowed by the complexity of its Maven build file.

@dret True. Doesn't necessarily make it less interesting, though. And the author is pretty clear that CREST != REST
Replying to @sallamar
@sallamar @codeblogger At least until page 100, this seems quite interesting (maybe it's just the final presentation that's underwhelming)
Computational REST by @jerenkrantz at http://www.erenkrantz.com/CREST/ (via @codeblogger) – Not sure yet if this is insightful or stupid
