AI will be either the best or the worst thing ever. highest vol of any tech i can think of.

@sama I don't see why it has to converge. Other tech has yielded a mix of good and bad, mostly good.

@paulg i think there's a reasonable chance of a runaway case with AI though, or at least extremes in either case.

@sama Nuclear advances? Modern weapons can wipe out the population, progress could enable "unlimited" power source.
