AI is a rare example of an extremely hyped thing that almost everyone still underestimates the impact of in even the medium-term. what are other examples of this from the past couple of decades besides the iPhone? i'm curious what we can learn.

You're talking about phases of the industrial revolution, with each phase having some sort of disruptive tech. Cotton gin, automobile, globalization, internet, nfts are all examples
