There's some dubious methodology here. Covid caseload in January 2021 is double-weighted? Debatable whether it should even be a factor. Cali kept cases low through 2020, and had a worse Jan '21 surge as a result. Also, the quality of life weightings are particularly subjective

Thanks for pointing out. Calmatters does excellent reporting on the subject. And GFC (Govern For California) is the best group analyzing politicians and supporting centrists and economic rationality in the state.
