We agree! So much so that we鈥檙e building the first platform that uses realistic tests to assess engineers. No more whiteboard coding 馃コ

Traditional ways to filter out candidates for interviews are even worse. @AdafaceHQ solves the problem pretty well. Hopefully, soon they will solve for the interviews as well!

Not if those interviews are structured and done right.

What is the solution?

Agree 100%. Providing some type of case or mini-project has been the best way I've found to see how people think and to judge work quality. Writing samples are also helpful. Would love other suggestions.

If traditional means unstructured, yes. If it means structured and with multiple rates, it can be good as long it is well designed.

Couldn鈥檛 agree more! @interviewIA exists to replace traditional, bias-laden #interviews with structured, equitable ones that help the interviewer and the candidate shine. And you鈥檒l save so much time and money doing it this way. By just using structured interviews, you save.

yup, especially for entry-level jobs. we hired ~500 ops ppl at my last startup & we built a "work simulator" to replace the interview process. if anyone else has lived (or is living) in this particular circle of hell, i'd love to learn more
