right now there are many high-skill immigrants that are begging to come to the US and we don't let them some day we'll beg them to come and they won't want to this is an important-but-not-urgent policy disaster, and worse than it seems

Believe it or not, it's happening already. A lot of my juniors are not even considering the US. Although to be fair, it's a bunch of reasons, one of them being harder immigration laws (even for high-skilled workers).

Good arguement as the same why is it they arent doing more foe theor country to better it and maybe someday there won't be a need for all the begging to leave a country you were born in.

Would you believe @AOC is the biggest obstacle for legal immigration? Everything someone tries to bring common sense legal immigration improvements, some extreme left politicians muddy it up with lofty demands for illegal immigration and play spoilsport.

We know a several dozen very high calibre Software Engineers who want to come to Silicon valley to work on the next big thing but immigration process likes to keep them away.

importing high-skill immigrants is an economic disaster and it will be a good thing when they dont want to come here
