right now there are many high-skill immigrants that are begging to come to the US and we don't let them some day we'll beg them to come and they won't want to this is an important-but-not-urgent policy disaster, and worse than it seems

The bigger insult to injury is the highly skilled, high tax paying, law-abiding folks on H1s that are _already_ here, and are waiting since eternity for their GCs.

Folks will get mad at this but the truth is - Not enough Americans are pro-stem studies. - It will only get worst with most of gen-z wanting to be tik-tok stars instead. - If the talent isn’t here, the country loses its standing as an innovator.

Many high-skilled folks from abroad don't want to live in the US because of the food desert and miserable cities (except Manhattan). I'm a 1st-gen immigrant, and I came here only because I love the entrepreneurial spirit. While tons of my friends can't bear the shitty lifestyle

Very few countries without ageing populations now. Weirdly self-defeating moment for so much nationalist and anti-immigration sentiment around the world. Only one I see cleaning up right now is Portugal, socialists playing a capitalist long game better than any.

It breaks my heart every time in a country and good, hardworking people want to come to America but the country’s visa acceptance rate is sub 20%.

The situation of the refugees in Poland is hard. Usually the profile is of women (mother, grandmother) + children. If you are willing to help (for example connect them to fund that donate computers) I will give you the contacts
