Remote, because of recruitment. Especially in my field (AI/RL). Everyone’s distributed across US/EU/UK/Canada. Remote would have a huge benefit.

Hardware? Fully in person. People can be hands on and iterate quickly. Software? Fully remote. Global talent pool, asynchronous communication, less Sartre politics, and far less herding time.
