i think in 100 years people will look back at 2022 and be even more astonished at how bad our quality of life was than we are looking back at people who lived 1000 years ago

What do you think will be the major drivers of change that would get us to a future like this? I can imagine fusion at scale, advances in biotechnology and healthcare, and interplanetary mining, but I can't see other massive improvements in the immediate future. Thoughts?
