seeing very early but really impressive demos of using language interfaces to control computers. the leverage on human ability and creativity we are going to see in the next decade from these tools will be quite something to behold!

it's weird how language ended up being a killer interface, but for so long sci-fi assumed it'd be by talking to the computer, not writing to it. kind of obvious in retrospect, given how much we flip to using writing in contexts requiring precision and nuance.

I’ve been thinking how great it would be with DALL-e type generations, as they get faster, to “steer” variations real-time by voice “more blue”, “more light”, etc especially in VR

It reminds me of writing a "cadavre exquis" in Basic on a TRS-80 and thinking we're almost there with intelligent machines. Nowadays I'm dreaming of AI that could format code the way I like to see it and then put it in git formatted the way other developers like it.
