(also worth noting: ten years ago essentially no one predicted this. the common wisdom was that we would have self-driving cars very soon but that creativity was out of reach for AI, maybe forever. predictions made today about how AI is going to develop are likely as bad.)

Ai genersted music would be insane, sad because it’s clearly the death of creativity… in fact I immediately take my approval back. Lock away this sorcery and throw away the keys. Creativity is what keeps the world spinning, outsourcing to AI is a big no no.

Why would you do that? Surely AI should be about making our lives happier, not taking away one of the things that make us happy - creativity. Leave that to the humans!

Wonder how long it will be before art made by AI is indistinguishable from human art

Imagine when the AI learns for each individual what is mesmerising for them and creates games that you cant stop playing, books that you cant stop reading and art that you cant stop looking at or buying.

Suppose you want to illustrate a children's book with DALL·E, and you want to generate the same character in different settings each time. Can you generate the same 'bear' each time? 🤔
