i think worldwide tech salaries may equalize pretty fast--doesn't make sense for companies to pay differently for the same work depending on where people live if everyone is remote anyway--and its going to have some pretty interesting effects

There's a question around local infrastructure and yeah it's pretty much only going to matter on the margins.

the problem are the timezones, for example HQ in USA and nomads in SE-Asia is a delay nightmare. Everything take twice time to communicate, resulting in longer development timelines.

It’s tied to cost of living. There will never be a day where you pay someone in Morocco the same as someone in Norway just because both work remotely.
