seriousness looks like real action to help defend taiwan now. unseriousness looks like changing twitter pfps to taiwanese flags later.

I’m not sure there’s much the US could do to stop China from taking over Taiwan right now, short of giving Taiwan a nuke, which wouldn’t be a wise decision.

We can’t spend 10 years developing new anti ship missiles. They need to be deployed in more like 3 years. Our current AS missiles are slow (mach 1 vs mach 2.4) and much easier to intercept.

But what if you have a Ukrainian flag AND a Taiwanese flag?

Seriousness is to look at all the aspects of the Taiwan situation, which is complex, and work for a peaceful solution with Taiwan and China. Real actions provoking a war to advance the Western agenda is the opposite of seriousness. (Flags PFPs are just ridiculous.)

The US already sealed Taiwan's fate in the 1970s by killing its nuclear program. Same deal as Ukraine.

China will want the $20B Taiwanese Semiconductor plant in Phoenix, it’ll wait until that is complete first. 🤣

Defend Taiwan from their inevitable assimilation with the mainland that the USA has agreed to since the Shanghai comminiques? Stick to technology, basic history is out of your wheelhouse.
