I actually kind of disagree. I think there's a lot of crossover between doomerism and illiberalism. In fact, I think they reinforce each other. If you're a techno-pessimist, you have a stronger incentive to use state power to prevent tech from ruining everything.

It's capitalism vs socialism. Democracy leads gradually to socialism. So whatever leads to more free market capitalism

Hard core both. Liberal democracies have the power to evolve, encouraging technology that redefines boundaries / culture. Other structures tend to resist change because it is disruptive to the established power structure.
