That's an extremely useful perspective for a CEO. A lot of outlier success is born from pursuing random things to think about, and then going all in on an insight that others did not consider to be relevant.

Great point Sam 🙌 If I could suggest something for you to think about: Given that you probably agree that AGI could have catastrophic consequences, why do you continue to pursue AGI as fast as possible? Are you sure you're not doing something extremely harmful?

You’re making a good argument for me staying off Twitter. It gives me a lot to think about, but almost none of these thoughts relate to me doing my day job better, which is realistically the thing that will get me the farthest.

What's related is extraverted intuition (brainstorming function) vs introverted intuition (Ni), which is the ability to recognize patterns & foresee future events and possibilities clearly. Ni lends itself to grand theories of everything & single-minded focus.
