In 1972, following the massacre of Israeli athletes in Munich, Prime Minister Golda Meir did not kill any children to eliminate those responsible for the Black September organization which had perpetrated the terrorist attack. 51 years later, the IDF, Israel's army, is forced to bomb cities, residential neighborhoods, killing civilians and thousands of children in response to a terrorist attack. And every time Hamas releases Israeli hostages, it does so with such serenity that you are told that they are in control of the situation and are not worried by the thousands of IDF bombs. This is the result of the Israeli far right's years in power. They make noise, make threats, obsess over ideology and provocative acts against other religions, use bombs, and all the while they lose flexibility and intelligence capacity. One can only wonder if the IDF designates its targets based on reliable intelligence or if it simply drops American bombs indiscriminately. One way of saying, if some event linked to climate change or a meteorite prevented the United States from coming to support Israel, this country would be incapable of defending itself in the region. In conclusion, only peace can represent a guarantee for the viability of Israel. The people of Israel must realize this. The noises, the threats, the dehumanizing remarks of the current leaders only aim to hide their incompetence.
