Israel can impose and has been imposing total blockade and siege on Gaza; preventing food, medicine, medical equipment, electricity and energy from reaching over two million people. Nothing less could be expected from a pure racist, evil, colonialist and hateful state.
Starving over two million people where 80% of the population are women, children, and elderly is a war crime and genocidal. Western governments and the so-called international community are complacent and partners of this crime against humanity.
Why would Egypt play along?
Who is in control of the Gaza-Egypt border? Israel or Egypt?
One cannot argue "both sides" of an issue:
Only Palestinians are under to military rule.
The only people who have their homes taken for illegal Israeli settlements are Palestinians.
Only Palestinians are experiencing forced evictions.
Apartheid laws only affect the Palestinian people.
One group is responsible for ALL of this: Israel
When a rocket shatters the glass of an Israeli home, the entire community evacuates through the airport, yet when a rocket hits a Palestinian home and kills half of a family, the surviving family members bury the dead and stay close to the graves of their loved ones.
Take a wild guess: whose land is this?
Israel has been at war against the Palestinians for 70+ years. Ethnic cleansing, occupation, Apartheid, siege. Today is a colossal failure for Israel's security apparatus despite maintaining massive force superiority, underscoring the complete bankruptcy of Israeli leaders.
What is going on now is a normal response to decades of Israeli occupation & oppression. What Israelis are experiencing now does not even qualify as fraction of what Palestinians have been experiencing for more than 7 decades.
Contrary to popular belief, this was not Israel's worst intelligence blunder.
The greatest intelligence blunder is the assumption that an occupying power can peacefully coexist with the occupied population.
In no way does that excuse violent behavior. However, it's important to keep in mind that peace and occupation are unlikely to cohabit permanently.
Israel doesn’t have a right to exist.
Palestinians have a right to resist!
"Palestinians are terrorists. They should peacefully resist."
But not Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (criminalised). Not Literature festivals (attacked, censored, refuse visas, lawfare). Not social media activism (shadow-ban them). Not protests (shoot them, mow the lawn).
#Israel has killed +5,618 Palestinians in #Gaza since the start of the blockade, 23% children and 9% women. They’ve destroyed +41,000 homes and completely demolished 12,631. Before lamenting ‘Israeli civilians,’ what justifies 15 years of continuous crimes and massacres in Gaza?
