No, I am a palliative care home patient. I've vax'd, and done everything responsibly to plan regarding covid. I refuse any further invasive treatment unless the risks, which are very high, for surgery if my lymphoma required. I am sorry if I wasn't clear. it's Twitter.

Thanks! I am vax'd according to my medical professionals and mostly stay to myself, when I don't, I rarely touch people or stand remotely close to them. I mask when in very close quarters, especially if someone's showing symptoms. I do this for others, my own health, :: shrug

I'm not sure why you asked me in the first place? Sounds like you are freelancing and I am not looking for anyone. If I'm mistaken and we had a conversation, please remind me, it's been a very difficult time here recently. Thx.

I'm back on this. It is dangerous, especially as we age. And it is a real use of those meds when you are at end of life, so there is real use, just very limited I think.

I truly am not being rude. I'm an advocate of open discourse and it may be relevant to others I don't start chats in private on social networks whom I do not know. I am happy to chat in public threads at this time, however. Feel free to ask anything or share smame

Hi Kelvin. I don't know you and have advocated for the open web, authenticity, skeletons out of the closet and elephants not stuck in a room. If you'd like I'm happy to do so in public. Thank you!

I had a wonderful moment a few months ago upon walking into a Doctor of Nurse Practice who was tapering my benzos and saw her DSM and said "Oh, I see you like reading fiction." SO you know, gotta laugh ;-) SHe wasn't amused, but I was and still am :)

We are whole beings. We are all living with conditions and will all succumb to death. Yet profit, power, and the arrogance of theory over fact as being fact is far more comfortable for most of all humans. I will never understand that.

Sometimes it's awful, and I spew bitterness and rage. Sometimes it's peaceful and doesn't bother me. I have found incredible solace in the palliative/hospice movements in the USA, and the work of @Atul_Gawande is to me the most significant and humane I've ever been exposed to.

I just found this out a month ago and entered palliative/hospice care. I'm just a tad sensitive about it as most of it is in fact and deed iatrogenic and there is no real recourse despite malpractice and negligence, wrong diagnoses, failure to disclose. Yeah, I'm angry as heck.

I understand, thank you for clarifying! I have had more harm come to me from medical intervention whether pharma or terribly negligent treatment for what are now 2 conditions that will not improve and will end in my death and now a malignancy probably caused by a pharmaceutical.

And surgeries, procedures, inpatient care, specialized tests, and paying for things like "nasal management products" (Tissues). Not to diminish the awful of pharmaceuticals, but there's a lotta profit beyond pharma in any country that profits off of human suffering.
One thing that I have learned only too well is that as a patient my life is only of value if I am consuming pharma products.
