I have a condition requiring accessible support does that mean I can only be a user that may have or may not have accessible features in an application or website and I can't ever hope or dream to be a developer. That is pure exclusion. Also not legal in many places

Can you drag and drop and interact with a graphical user interface? Many people cannot. That right there is a red flag. Why do I have to use my hands to accomplish a task that should provide multiple input and output options both for preference and accessibility?

I don't think it's tools themselves that are the problem. It is the people making the tools that do not understand the principles. How am I as Limited in my hand movements going to drag and drop my way to success?
I'm getting hung up on terms and context. The terms abstract, obscure, cause, effect are all contextual. We are here to communicate content. Is descriptive text meant to be abstract? Why do we need Aria at all? Apps and programs are walled Gardens which exclude do not include.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say why sometimes my facts might not be perfect my skill sets limited to my strengths my perspectives biased by the greatest thinkers in our industry who are aiming at a different model. Social value, human potential, technology that empowers.

That would be awesome. Not a third thank you very much Google Voice for making me so damned illiterate. And to correct myself I have to do it manually. I use voice to reduce manual problems as I have Dupuytren's contracture and my hands become very fatigued.

If we write machine code we are programmers the web is a third not programmed until we hit HTML5 apis and Frameworks and generated markup or JavaScript that is abstraction. JavaScript itself is very powerful with power comes great responsibility no? LOL

What is abstracting anything if you're using markup presentation and minimal Behavior along with accessibility practices? The only API in that original model is the document object model so the tree itself without a tool is abstracted. The content is not.

The whole movement disturbs me because it is not good for developers it is geared for marketing and business development too rapidly produce applications not websites for sale and profit. If the app fails guess what has to be fixed? Code.

A final comment about surveillance and manipulation online I've heard a thousand times I have nothing to hide. Maybe you don't but every single person you connect with is also revealed when your data is revealed so remember it's not just about you it's about your contacts as well

For me it goes back to a long and well enjoyed nerd Creed. We do it for the many not the few or the one. It is the many of us who can bring about change but that means protest and resistance. That is scary in a world of deep fake. it is conflict and it can be violence and death.

It is social media networks that I personally point the finger to as being the most problematic and separated from internet and web ideals because they are in fact walled Gardens. If Government, predatory capitalism, special interest groups will not change these things who will?

So what do we do? It's not exactly easy to reject the reality that social networking has become a part of our very existence. Children and adults now care more about social networks in riding a bike or being in nature or spending non-online time with F2F friends and family.
