Well part of it is as I just was saying elsewhere the direct to consumer marketing the USA has encouraging patience to go to the doctor and ask for a given drug especially new ones that are being sold as proprietary meaning far more expensive because there's no generic. Scary!

It's very interesting to me the difference when you have a nation that has direct consumer marketing so the patient asks for a specific medication and they tend to get it if it's being advertised because it's proprietary. Only the USA and New Zealand allow those ads I believe.

Who laughs at WordPress? Why? It has market share of content publishing I was at the first launch party in San Francisco at Matt's new place when he moved from Texas. We worked on web standards project Etc his work has changed the web and the world. No laughing matter, that!

Wow I remember that book! What year did it come out? Can you see original publishing date? I seem to remember it was a very long time ago or maybe it's a later Edition? I'd love to know because the Gorilla Marketing Concept was very aggressive at least in the early days.

Thank you! I am so very much enjoying the space and the various folks I'm starting to talk to I hope I can contribute something along the way and learn a lot from each other that's the best part of life I think! Here's to more fun, friends, code, and a better world for all!

It's such an interesting thing to see how we evolve and change and from bbs's to what we saw was second life which was really very much like what I think we're seeing with immersive environments and metaverse especially. It will be very interesting to see the next year unfold!

About saving him I felt this way so many times with my kitty Avatar in college who got sick and I couldn't save him and then people like my husband and mom who died the same year. I suffered so much thinking about not having saved them. That passed but it has taken some time. 💙

Oh what a sweetie. I think they're with us forever somehow though become a part of us and as long as we are they are too. Not their physical presence rather their energy or Essence I suppose? I do believe that he will be by your heart always.

Yeah I'm well aware of that they've pretty much taken everything I have and piled on my friends and you know what can you do. I'm getting off the last medication and not going to commit to more.

Really? Huh not at all things are very nice and quiet here. Sending a little of that extra your way. Also I have a new neighbor he's an owl and he lives in a tree that's a little higher than my second floor balcony here I can't see him but I think he needs a name! Any ideas?

Yeah he's goofy in a lot of ways and he definitely you know with the whole Bush V Gore thing was just brutal in retrospect. Or perhaps I just tuned it out or don't remember it that well since so much has happened since! But yeah pretty goofy.

As if I know from reality? Haha I wasn't there but I think back about places I actually did experience history being made and I still can't be sure reality is real. Memory is distributed not centralized and age, conditions, differences, all make memory different each retrieval.🤗

Yeah yeah yeah I never heard that one before never saw it here an hour ago either! But I'll still take the laugh for the win! 😜
Yep! And more. Al Gore did in fact contribute greatly to the advancement of arpanet and NSFnet, funding for Mark Andreesen who at this point needs no funding and much more. Gore was definitely ahead of his time, perhaps did self promote a bit, but he did help move things forward.
Now please enjoy this interview where Vint Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee and yes, former United States vice president and senator Al Gore himself having a laugh together! All's well that ends well? 😜 youtube.com/NM7ZFlToZgY

The internet and web have moved rather quickly and as such I think we end up with a lot of Mythology and a lot of unverifiable commentary because everybody gets sloppy even the best. I've heard various contributors to both use the terms interchangeably. Knowing they are not!
