What's more Steven who is the former chair of the original HTML working group before it lost its Charter is working to bring declarative to current developers and make them aware that this is an option still.

We lost the original working group Charter in 2009. there were issues related to xhtml2 and backward compatibility which of course HTML5 adoption has failed too. But XML lives on. Xforms is a good example. @stevenpemberton has a talk about it on YouTube. I'll get the link.

I reread that and applaud your Wordsmith abilities, it's wonderful. And I am a very sensitive person to word use considering a background in linguistics and lexical semantics which makes me very judgmental and pedantic. Not that there's anything wrong with that 😜

I don't know how long you've been in web development but there once was a 5K contest for HTML which cracks me up now. I also believe that our developer tools have confused a lot of people. We would benefit for free, consistent EDU for content creators who offer webdev courses.

Another issue is CMS is spit out a lot of extra code to. I think people don't really want to learn how to write language and they were very confused by the Cascade in CSS times the componentization aspects of HTML5. The size of our files at this point are so large and demanding.

Well technically speaking the open web is still there it's up to Developers to limit their use of certain Technologies and really get back to the core stack with semantic markup no inline script, no inline CSS. Real unobtrusive JavaScript for interaction and Aria where needed.

Financial apps would make more sense as blockchain model is quite secure at least for now! I highly doubt that Facebook and Twitter are running toward a situation where they lose their corporate agendas. I miss the open web. Can we have it back please?

Well there seems to be this proliferation of the idea that web 3.0 is a replacement for so-called Web 2.0 and a given in terms of success which it is not. On the other hand there's a lot of big money via venture capitalists going into the technology especially around apps.

Exactly. I do surf around onion just to see what's up and it is a lot faster than it used to D but there are a lot of barriers to entry there too with ridiculous amounts of captcha and DDOS attacks are continuous on most sites. Legalities of onion misunderstood by most people.

The internet is not itself a walled Garden. As for the web, the barriers to entry are worsening. I see this as a byproduct of app development via functional programming, frameworks, apis, and certain cms's. the declarative, accessible, accessible document based open web is dying.
Thanks Barney these are great responses. The one use I see really is not for creating an actual network but for creating a means by which to share data in a distributed way for largely financial institutions at this point in history at least and it takes adoption.

Hey Zack it was. I'm down to one prescription only. And I am on a taper to get off of it and I will be free of pharmaceuticals. 2 to 3 months. Self initiated, all of it. doctors would have kept me on everything. some to this day insist I need pain management. Meaning opioid. No.

It's a tragedy what's going on these are very dangerous drugs they cause long-term and sometimes very serious other medical conditions such as tired of dyskinesia Parkinson's and death. They're all supposed to be used in the worst case scenarios and only for short- term.

We need to begin discussing what psychopharmacology does to existing medical conditions. In my case the neutropenia and thrombocytopenia improved clinically after Fluoxetine. Seroquel for insomnia? In 3 weeks my low ANC of 1,000 fell to 650. at 1000 again. #prescribedharm

The medications I was on in 2013 only two psychiatric the vast majority at worst harmful mildly benign at best. I am the longest surviving person with bone marrow aplasia that has ever been documented. Only two Pharmaceuticals of hundreds were effective. Epoetin and Filgrastim.

I am not so proud of my missteps but I am proud of never having stayed a victim and I will not allow medicine to cause me more harm. I harm myself perfectly well all on my own. I am done with invasive surgical procedures, Pharmaceuticals, charts, clipboards and morality judgments
