Haven't eaten a 馃崙 since I moved to Costa Rica. Imported fruit is outrageously expensive. Bananas, Papaya & Mangos are cheap. Bananas go for about 10 cents per banana.

Papayas are extremely good for platelets. Even better is papaya leaf tea. I buy organic from India. There is only one drug called promacta that cannot be used outside chemotherapy. Everything we need for sustenance, healing comes from our natural world. Sad we don't respect it.

National health care requires a cedulla, identity card. It can take several years of dealing with immigration to even get a permanent residence card. Private health care is not cheap, and geared towards the medical tourist.

Well Costa Rica appeals to me but I have numerous friends in Mexico. I think that would be the country I'd end up in by choice. I hear Costa Rica is beautiful but rather unto itself it seems.

Drug violence keeps me from considering Mexico. As for health insurance, Panama is even stricter than Costa Rica. A lot of immigrants from Nicaragua, Cuba & Columbia.

Having lived the last 30 years of my life directly in the major corridor from Arizona to Nevada out of Mexico, drug violence is nothing new to me sad to say. You can't lose if you don't play.
