Are there really people in this world who were protected by parents, never inappropriately touched by them or family much others? I have a hard time parsing the sexual bad behavior of apparently mostly men on women because that's not my story. Was your family safe and protective?

Thank you, Molly. I'm still learning more and more about it through lots of therapy, but that's only because I have those resources. My sexual abuse was one of the first things I brought up in therapy years ago and I'm still working through it's consequences.

Hugs are great! People do awful things and our culture leaves it up to victims to do the work. I'm glad to see the recent trend of fighting back in Hollywood and hopefully it'll make the population at large more aware and considerate :)
