Hence "family" in my post as I know. I'm so sorry for your sister. I was referring to abuses FROM parents and particularly that mothers can be just as abusive, even worse. I hope the trusted member got course-corrected and didn't continue to harm others. :(

If today's awareness applied in the 1960s I'd have been a foster kid as both parents would be in prison.
